Then just as he was about to move closer to get a better look he saw his aunt walk into the room with a man he didn't recognize. For a moment he didn't know what to think, but then as he saw her smile and laugh at something the man said he felt a tremendous weight lifted off his shoulders and chest. “She's alive. She's alive, safe, and happy.” Peter whispered to himself in relief. It took all his self restraint to keep from busting through the door and taking the woman into his arms, but with no change of clothes and no good excuse for being dressed as Spider-Man he knew it was a bad idea. |
